Maranatha Bible-Presbyterian Church is a reformed and fundamental church started in 1990 that adheres to the Westminster Confession of Faith and is Calvinistic and covenantal in our doctrines.
Sola Scriptura: The Bible alone is our highest authority.
Sola Fide: We are saved through faith alone in Jesus Christ.
Sola Gratia: We are saved by the grace of God alone.
Solus Christus: Jesus Christ alone is our Lord, Saviour and King.
Soli Deo Gloria: We live for the glory of God alone.
Due to the Covid-19, our Government has issued an Order to cease all public meetings including church worship till 30th April 2020. Therefore, our church will not have any Sunday Worship starting from this Lord’s Day. We will worship at our homes.
Sunday Worship at Home
The head of the family will lead in worship. The preacher’s sermon will be sent to you on Saturday night to be read by the head of the family. For those who cannot worship as a family, you can do so alone with the Lord in a quiet setting. For children, parents are to gather their children to do Sunday School. Sunday School Lessons will be sent to you via WhatsApp by their School School teachers by Saturday night. Half an hour lesson will do. Be flexible.
Here is a Proposed Order of Worship :
– Read a Psalm
– Invocation: Sing a Hymn
– Open with a prayer
– Read a Bible Passage
– Read the Sermon sent
– Pray. Thank God for the Sermon
– Sing a Hymn
– Close in Prayer
The church is unable to meet on Wednesday night for prayer meeting because of the Covid-19 crisis. But this is a holy hour. There is nothing more needful than for the church to come together to pray. Please remember a church that prays together stays together. Therefore, the church will continue to have it. As usual, it will start punctually at 8.30pm on Wednesday. The person in charge will send you a short devotion and prayer requests via WhatsApp. I suggest every member of the houshold get together to pray for half an hour. Those who cannot pray as a family, you can do so privately in a conducive place.
Dear saints, we are living in difficult times. Let’s us not be discouraged but look to the Lord daily, for our help comes from him (Psalm 121). Be of good cheer! Please keep in touch with each other and uphold each other in fervent prayer.
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
The LORD make his face shine upon thee,
and be gracious unto thee:
The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee,
and give thee peace.
